Content Creation is Key
Content creation is a very important aspect of social media. as the saying goes; “Content is king”. Content makes social media go round. When it comes to branding, the content one puts out is very critical to how the brand is going to be perceived by the audience. Content builds relationships and consistent use of good content establishes authority on social media. Content creation is usually under looked in social media because most brands do not take the time to find the best content creator for their social media. They rely on themselves and just make lackluster content. I see this a lot with brands which are up and coming. They are more worried about paying a social media influencer in comparison to finding a good content creator who understands their brand and can help bring their vision to light on social media.
Good content creation brings organic following. Influencers on the other hand are often viewed as payola and most times do not even generate or guarantee any traction or income. A brand is better off working with a content creator who is consistent and focused on making sure the brand is interacting with the audience. Influencers are more worried about themselves and their bank accounts. They are often rude and only care about your money. They do not have the best interest of the brand at heart most times. Most influencers also deal with so many other brands to the point where they have eventually “licensed the cool”. Brands should not be gullible because all that glitters is not gold. Influencer marketing can look attractive, but it can easily be a flop and it requires in depth planning for it to be successful.
